According to Obama, the borders of these two States should be based on the 1967 with some changes agreed between the parties. On the other hand, the U.S. President has also considered that it is possible to move forward in the area of security, with a coordinated of the israeli army withdrawal and Palestinian security forces that assumed control of the territory, so that would be more forward two key talks issues: Jerusalem and the return of refugees. Looking ahead however, he acknowledged, that talks begin with the two above-mentioned points does not mean that it will be easy to return to the negotiating table. In this sense, has alluded to the recent reconciliation agreement reached by Fatah and Hamas and that, according to him, he raises legitimate questions to Israel since the Islamist movement does not recognize the Jewish State.
